He’s given Batman his most celebrated adaptations. He took Matthew McConaughey and Anne Hathaway into space to deal with wormholes. Christopher Nolan needs no introduction from me, but I could talk about the man’s work until the cows come home. There’s so many bangers in his filmography. “Memento” might be my personal favorite, but that’s an extremely tough choice.
Anyway, onto his next movie: “Dunkirk.”
Here’s the synopsis, via IMDB:
“Miraculous evacuation of Allied soldiers from Belgium, Britain and France, who were cut off and surrounded by the German army from the beaches and harbor of Dunkirk, France, between May 27- June 04, 1940, during Battle of France in World War II.”
In case you’re wondering, the Dunkirk Evacuation was a huge event during World War II. Click HERE to head over to a site that can properly teach you a bit about it. I’ll stick to the production angle.
The film’s cast includes Tom Hardy, Cillian Murphy, Kenneth Branagh, and Academy Award winner Mark Rylance.
