If you didn’t see Money in the Bank, I’ll explain: the final match of the night was Seth Rollins versus Roman Reigns for Roman’s WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Seth wound up getting a clean victory over Roman, winning back the title he never lost. It was a great match.

Then, before Seth even had a chance to properly celebrate, Dean Ambrose’s music hit. He had won the Mitb contract in the previous match. Seth stayed put, readying for Dean, but The Lunatic Fringe never came through the curtain.

That’s because he went through the crowd. He popped up behind Seth, nailed him with the briefcase, and then explained to the ref that he was cashing in. Moments later, Dean Ambrose got a three count, officially becoming the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion!

This is something I’ve been waiting for. The way the ending worked out was fantastic, too, because it was the perfect setup for a Triple Threat. They confirmed that the next night on Monday Night Raw. Roman and Seth were put in the main event, with the winner getting a title shot at Battleground. Of course, that match ended with both men getting counted out.

Shane McMahon came out to restart it, saying that’s not how a number one contender’s match is going to end under his watch. Before he could make it official, Dean grabbed the mic and told Shane that he’d take them both on in the same night. Didn’t matter to him.

That’s when Shane countered with the Triple Threat. It’s finally happening! Should it have maybe been reserved for a bigger show like SummerSlam or WrestleMania? Perhaps. The venue really doesn’t matter, though. It’s not going to stop Ambrose, Reigns, and Rollins from tearing the house down.

I can’t wait!
