Somehow this slipped past us. Kurt Angle has announced his retirement. There’s a bit of ambiguity over whether or not he’s retiring from professional wrestling, as a whole, or just TNA. Our bet is on him being finished with the industry. He’s had a long career, which has unfortunately seen him sustain quite a few injuries.
Seems like a logical time to hang up his boots. He’s healthy. If he keeps going, that could change, and we can’t have that.
How do you feel about this? Are you as bummed as us that he wont ever be able to make his return to the WWE? There goes that Daniel Bryan, dream retirement match. It was never likely, but now it’s a definite no-go. As always, feel free to hit the comment section, and let us know all about it.
If it makes you feel any better, he’s got some other things on the agenda. Kurt is scheduled to be a commentator for Bellator MMA’s live Spike TV show on February 19. The main event is Royce Gracie vs. Ken Shamrock, and Angle has stated he may take a fight with Shamrock later next year. He’s also stated that he would consider a career in education and coaching.
WWE – hire him for the performance center – NOW!!!!
