If you missed this past week’s NXT, or you’re not active on Twitter, then you missed both of the things I’m about to cover. We’ll start with the Twitter. Yesterday, at about 2:30PM (EST), Sami Zayn sent out this Tweet.

Then, during NXT, they played this promo, and I was fully torqued by the time it ended. I feel no shame in admitting that.

No disrespect meant to anyone else who wrestled on the card, but Zayn’s performance in his match against Adrian Neville at NXT TakeOver: R Evolution is actually the biggest reason that I currently watch NXT. He straight shattered my mind with that Tornado DDT through the ropes. I never watched him as El Generico, so it was all new to me.

El Generico, for those unaware, was Sami’s character on the independent circuit. He worked with Kevin Steen a ton. Steen, obviously, is now known as Kevin Owens. If those two aren’t locked in a rivalry within a couple months, I’m going to be upset. Look at Sami’s last match – it was against KO at NXT TakeOver: Unstoppable. In storyline, that’s where Zayn sustained the injury that took him out of action.

He has to come back looking for revenge…right? RIGHT?!?!?
