Guillermo Del Toro turned his script in for this film, a while back. We haven’t heard a thing, ever since. Fortunately, earlier today, that all changed, thanks to Latino Review. They reported that Warner Brothers is close to casting to some of the key roles for “Justice League Dark,” a.k.a. “Dark Universe.” If you’re unaware, the main cast of the flick will be a team consisting of John Constantine, Swamp Thing, Deadman, Zatanna, and Etrigan The Demon.
We’ll start with the obvious: apparently Del Toro wants Ron Perlman to play Swamp Thing. Perfect. Everyone seems to agree on that being a phenomenal idea. Same goes for Monica Belucci as Madame Xanadu.
Next up: Zatanna. They’re looking for a “Hispanic/black” actress. That’s all we know.
Deadman’s possible casting choice is equally as vague: “a comedic presence.”
Oh, and there could be a cameo from Cara Delevingne as her Enchantress character from the upcoming “Suicide Squad” film.

Okay, now – let’s get to the big two. Colin Farrell is rumored as the top choice for Constantine, with Ewan McGregor as a close second. I’m one hundred percent down with either of them getting the role. My favorite part is that Jason Blood, the human character that Etrigan The Demon is bound to, could be a possibility for whoever doesn’t get the Hellblazer role.
So, either way, we could be getting a DC Comics movie led by Colin Farrell, Ewan McGregor, Ron Perlman, Monica Belucci, a funny guy, and a “Hispanic/black” girl. I’m in. Gimme it.
GIMME IT ALL!!!!
