#WCW – Rise of the Tomb Raider

If you’re unaware of what #WCW means, then I’m curious what it’s been like for you to live under that rock. I’ll explain, anyway, but still – where you been, man? #WCW has been all over social media for years.

It means “Woman Crush Wednesday.”

Or, in the case of the wrestling section here on Nerdopotamus, it could mean “World Championship Wrestling.”

For the first installment – located in the gaming section – we will cover the new Lara Croft game, “Rise of the Tomb Raider.”

The game was released for X-Box One and X-Box 360 on November 10th, 2015. The critical reception has mostly been positive, with an aggregated score of 87.55% based on 49 reviews on GameRankings, as well as 87/100 based on 74 reviews on MetacriticIGN awarded it a score of 9.3 out of 10, saying “Rise of the Tomb Raider takes its predecessor’s winning formula and improves on it in every way.”

Kimberley Wallace of Game Informer awarded the game a 9.5 out of 10, stating “Rise of the Tomb Raider captures the thrill of being an adventurer and leaves you thinking about Lara’s next move. You have daredevil sequences, heroic moments, fun exploration, and exciting fights that even Indiana Jones would envy. If Crystal Dynamics keeps raising the bar from here, I can’t wait to see what’s next for Lara.”

Peter Paras of Game Revolution gave it a perfect 5 star rating, saying that “…this is an adventure worth replaying with a hero who’s unforgettable.”

We haven’t had a chance to play the new game yet. Have any of you? Feel free to hit the comment section, and tell us all about it.
