Welcome back to “Huge Crowd Reactions In Wrestling,” where we cover – well – huge crowd reactions in wrestling. Issue one shined some spotlight down on Dolph Ziggler’s Money in the Bank cash-in, the night after WrestleMania 29. Issues 2 and 3 were both focused on some hair-raising moments from the career of Daniel Bryan.

For issue #4, we’re going back to the night after WrestleMania 28. At the end of that show, John Cena was in the ring, cutting a promo, when Brock Lesnar’s music hit, and out he came. He was back in the WWE, after being gone for 8 years, and the crowd couldn’t have been happier. They completely exploded.

NOTE: If you pause the following video at 23 seconds, in the bottom right corner of the frame, you’ll see one of my closest buddies, Anthony Iovino, drunkenly jumping up and down, and throwing his arms in the air. Brock’s return + the alcohol had him feeling some type of way.

AUTHOR’S NOTE: 6:14PM. I just edited this piece. I originally lumped Brock’s return and Ziggler’s WHC win into the same night. They happened a year apart. Lesnar was on the Raw after ‘Mania 28, and Dolph cashed in on the Raw after ‘Mania 29. Thanks to the previously mentioned Anthony Iovino for pointing that out.

Our goal is to present you all with more quality wrestling-based content. That’s why our first venture together will be the Nerd/Out Top 100 Wrestlers of the Year. We have formed a committee. The selection process has begun. The qualifying period is from WrestleMania 31 to WrestleMania 32.

That doesn’t mean it will be limited to WWE, to be clear. The performer’s promotion matters as much as their gender, which is not all. The only thing that matters is their ability as a professional wrestler.

Numbers 100-91 will be published on April 4th, 2016. From that point on, we’ll drop another ten numbers every day, until we are finished on the 13th.

We hope you all join us!
