Welcome to the second issue of “Huge Crowd Reactions In Wrestling,” where we at Nerdopotamus choose a huge pop to shed a little spotlight on. A huge pop, by the way, is wrestling lingo for any time that a crowd explodes into cheers (or boos). As long as you get a massive, simultaneous reaction out of the crowd that’s paid to come and see you wrestle.
For today, we’re going to go to one of the masters – Daniel Bryan. It happened on the January 13th, 2014 episode of Monday Night Raw. Not long before that show (possibly the previous week), Bryan joined The Wyatt Family. The crowd was not happy about it, to say the least. They couldn’t believe that their hero would join the evil Bray Wyatt.
Luckily for them, they had their faith rewarded. I wasn’t messing around when I called him a master, by the way. The slow, building “YES!” chant is absolutely incredible. Straight up: it gets me fully torqued.
What about you guys? Did that crowd reaction get the goosebumps going?

THIS SERIES OF ARTICLES IS BROUGHT TO YOU IN PART BY MARK OUT ENTERTAINMENT
We here at Nerdopotamus are thrilled to have joined forces with Mark Out, and its owner Anthony Iovino.
Our goal is to present you all with more quality wrestling-based content. That’s why our first venture together will be the Nerd/Out Top 100 Wrestlers of the Year. We have formed a committee. The selection process has begun. The qualifying period is from WrestleMania 31 to WrestleMania 32.
That doesn’t mean it will be limited to WWE, to be clear. The performer’s promotion matters as much as their gender, which is not all. The only thing that matters is their ability as a professional wrestler.
Numbers 100-91 will be published on April 4th, 2016. From that point on, we’ll drop another ten numbers every day, until we are finished on the 13th.
We hope you all join us!
