For the second week in a row, the best moment didn’t come from The New Day. Don’t get me wrong, they had two very entertaining showings on the episode, but they weren’t the best part of the night. To explain, in the first segment, Triple H and Stephanie McMahon came out, and announced that there would be at least five matches on the show. The first four were going to be decided between some of the winners from Hell in a Cell.
It was Alberto Del Rio vs. Neville, Big E vs. Dolph Ziggler, Kofi Kingston vs. Roman Reigns, and Kevin Owens vs. Cesaro. The winners of each of those matches would then move on to the main event, a fatal 4-way. The winner of that match would then earn the Number One Contender’s spot for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
The winners were Del Rio, Ziggler, Reigns, and Owens, creating a fatal 4-way that could main event any PPV. More than that, if any Indy promoter anywhere in the world got to put that match on, they’d make some serious bank. Yet, here it was, given away for free on an episode of RAW.
There’s no one moment for me to pick. I’m going with the match as a whole. It was fast-paced, hard hitting, and most importantly – entertaining as hell.
