Royal Rumble 2015 – The Triple Threat

The Triple Threat

The 2015 Royal Rumble took place on January 25, 2015 at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It was the twenty-eighth annual Rumble and the first to air on the WWE Network.

It was marked by an extremely negative reaction to the winner of the 30-Man Over the Top Rope Battle Royal – Roman Reigns. Everybody remembers that, right? Not even The Rock could get that Philly crowd to change their minds.

Before that match, the crowd was actually psyched. They had just experienced the incredible Triple Threat for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. It was Brock Lesnar vs Seth Rollins vs John Cena.

What a match.

The night after, on Raw, Triple H called it one of the most incredible matches he’s ever seen. He was not kidding. Within minutes of the starting bell, Lesnar was tossing people around. He suplexed Jamie Noble and Joey Mercury – AT THE SAME TIME!

He picked them up both up like they were itty, bitty babies.

Do yourself a favor and check the match out. You will not regret it.

It’s a masterful example of in-ring psychology, high-flying spots, and stiff, heavy physicality.
